Site Navigation Tutorial
This site is very complex with lots of content and user features. Our goal is to make the site as easy to navigate as possible and to make everything available with a maximum of 3 clicks. To accomplish this there are two primary navigation menus. The top menu seen in illustration #1. This menu appears at the top of every page in the member's area. The Second navigation menu is the one you see to the left of this page. This Navigation tutorial will explain each menu and the sub-sections of the menu to the left.
Lets start with the top menu.
The top menu is primarily informational. We will use the "Healthy Diet" Menu tab to explain how it works. The "Healthy Diet" tab is identified in the illustration as "#1 Healthy Diet"
When you place your cursor (mouse over) on the tab a sub menu will drop down. This is also called a drop down menu. You will then have the option of selecting the "Healthy Diet" Tab and viewing the page attached to it or selecting from a sub-topic. In this example both sub-topics also have sub-topics. If you were to place your cursor over "#2 Diabetic diet" you would again have options. You could view the "Diabetic Diet" page by clicking on that menu item or select one of the sub topics (#3 in the illustration.) We have been able with this part of the site to reach our goal with 1 mouse click.
