The JCE Editor we use for this site is a powerful tool to make editing your personal pages and post very easy. It can be as easy as writing an email or very complex. We are giving you choices. To make it easy to fully use the JCE editor we are providing flash tutorials showing you what the JCE editor can do for you.
The server for this site is set to time out after about 15 minutes. If you are trying to write your article with this editor it will probably time out before you are done causing you to lose your work. To avoid this we suggest you write your article with a word processor such as MS Word. Spell-check your article. Then there are two easy ways to add your article to the editor for publication. One is to use the word paste function in JCE. You will find the word paste function on the top row of the JCE editor tool bars. The other way is less complicated. Copy your article from the word processor after it has been spellchecked and paste it into Notepad. This will give you clean unformatted text. Copy and paste the text from Notepad to the editor window in the JCE Editor.
These tutorials will open in a new browser window. When you have completed the tutorial close the browser window and you will return to this window. Editing text and tables This Tutorial teaches you how to change fonts and edit the look of your text. You can select fonts, font size, Font color, make it bold, italicize etc. Adding media files with the media manager The media manager allows you to add flash and other visual media to your content. Using the image manager and adding pictures to text With the image manager you can make a folder for your images and add pictures to your text. By using the align left and right you can have your text wrap around your images for a more professional looking page. When uploading your pictures, please use images no wider than 350 pixels and no larger than 30 Kb. Most of the images you see on this site are less than 15Kb. Edit the image files with the image editor on your computer before uploading them.
