You have registered the next step is setting up your account.
Step 1.
Go to "Your Details" in the "User Menu" (circled in red on the illustration to the left) Click on the "your Details Tab" in the menu and it will take you to a page to edit your details. The illustration below is what you will see but with your name, email address, and "user name" being displayed.
At any time you can return to this page and change your email address or your password. It is recommended that you use a "strong" password. A strong password is one that is at least 7 characters long and includes upper and lower case numbers as well as numbers.
It is recommended that you write your User Name and password on a 3x5 card and keep it in a safe place that you remember.
Check that you have "JCE Editor Mambot" in the box where you can select the "user Editor." (See Illistration below)
Step #2
Click on "Manage Your Profile" in the "User Menu"
This will take you to a page that looks similar to the illustration below but with your information. The first thing to do is click on the Edit tab. (Circled in red and marked #1)
When you move your mouse cursor over the Edit tab you will get options. They are:
- Update Your Profile
- Update You Image
- Remove Image
Update Your Profile
The Forms in the "Update Your Profile" section are fairly self-explanatory. Some of the options will already be filled in based on the information you entered in your registration form. Some items are required and others are optional.
Other than required information, anything you fill in our profile is at your discretion. There are help hints to the right of each field that will give you more information about that field when you move your mouse cursor over the icons.
Update You Image
You will have the options of no image if you do not choose one, a generic image if you do not want other members to see your picture, or uploading your picture.
The picture you upload is limited to 200x500 pixels with a maximum file size of 100 KB. The larger the file size, the more data space it takes on our server and is slower to load. All the images I use are typically under 20 KB and some under 10 KB. When you save your images for upload the method will vary depending on the software that came with your digital camera or scanner. Most digital camera software or image editing software gives you an option to save for email or save for the web. If you unable to make a picture to use for your profile, but really want one there are other options. There are services that convert standard photographs to digital images probably available in your community. If there are none, your digital photo can be made for you by our staff for a small fee. Use the contact us form for details if this is something you want done.
Once you have completed the set up of your account you may wish to submit news, post in the forum, upload pictures to the photo gallery, upload or download recipes, meals or meal plans to use with the NutriBase software, create your personal web space or any of the many options available to registered members.
The other features of this site are covered in tutorials specific to that feature.
