Well we came with in 200 feet from biting the bullet.
A tornado took out the park across the street from us, our town is one of the worst hit next to Baton Rouge and there saying it will be another 4 to 6 weeks as long as Ike does not head our way, to get our power back on.
We are on a generator donated to our state from Calif.
It is one of 3 there setting up to get our town semi functioning.
My sugar went through the roof, no fresh food here, or fridge or power, 92 in the house with solid heavy rain out side did not help. Plus all we have been eating is canned food and MREs sodium's very very high in those and make you really sick to your tummy.
Last night at 11.30 they got the generator kicked on, about 30 Min's before that I was almost ready to give up on breathing, I told my hubby I am not sure if I can go another night of this heat and trouble breathing.
We could not reach my doctor cell phones were out beside no power or house phone.

Tell me god does not know our breaking points.

I totally lost it when the national guard came in with supplies I was hugging them and telling them thank you.
Yesterday the Church's got together and did Jumbliya for the town very very nice to have a hot meal.
Today the gen is going I got laundry done, a hot shower and cleaned the house from top to bottom, my sugars back down to 110, now to get it back in the 90s I will be happy.
